The International Minor in Human Sciences is designed to:

  • Broaden your world views
  • Increase your awareness and appreciation of cultures different from your own
  • Deepen your understanding of quality of life issues worldwide
  • Develop your abilities to function effectively in a global community
  • Develop your skills in personal and global leadership
  • Articulate the acquisition and development of skills (e.g., time management, problem-solving, written oral communications, critical thinking, interpersonal skills) that are required to compete successfully in the job market.


Programs of Study

The College of Human Sciences offers two paths to obtaining the International Minor:

  • The Joseph S. Bruno Auburn Abroad in Italy program in which a student can earn the International Minor in one semester while studying abroad in Ariccia, Italy 
  • An on/off-campus program for students to complete a for-credit study abroad experience in the human sciences and human sciences content competencies and/or foreign language competencies on campus
