Short Bio

Stephen Erath is the associate dean for research and graduate studies in the College of Human Sciences. He is also a professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Science. His research examines psychophysiological and coping responses to social stress in childhood and adolescence, as well as parental support and children’s reception of parental support in the context of social stress. He joined Auburn University after earning a Ph.D. in child clinical psychology at Pennsylvania State University.
