Short Bio
Oleksandra (Sasha) Hanchukova, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Horst Schulze School of Hospitality Management at Auburn University. Her teaching focuses on beverage-related courses, with a strong emphasis on experiential learning within the Tony & Libba Rane Culinary Science Center.
Her research examines hospitality marketing and consumer behavior, particularly within the beverage industry, and includes work on regional branding, consumer attitudes toward emerging markets, and crisis-driven shifts in consumption behaviors. She also serves as an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Wine Business Research, contributing to the advancement of scholarship in wine and beverage business studies.
Prior to her academic career, Dr. Hanchukova gained industry experience at Ukrainian and Italian wineries and later contributed to national and international research projects through the Texas Wine Marketing Research Institute. Before joining Auburn University, she served as an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida, where she taught courses in beverage management, international wine culture, hospitality leadership, and strategic management.
At Auburn, she integrates industry insights and global perspectives to help students explore the cultural and sensory dimensions of beverages.
