Short Bio

Nancy V Martin is an assistant professor at Auburn University, costume history, and textiles. Her work focuses on aesthetics and innovation through the lens of dress as material culture. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, College of Design in the Apparel Dress, History, and Culture Track and a Master of Arts in Consumer and Family Studies/Dietetics from San Francisco State University. She has published in Dress: The Journal of the Costume Society of America and the Çankaya University Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences.
