With 25 years of experience in higher education, I am dedicated to fostering growth and resilience among my students in the field of human development and family science. I am deeply committed to educational excellence and to the development of innovative courses and curricula that engage and challenge learners. I strive to cultivate an inclusive, supportive classroom environment in which all students feel safe, respected, and valued. Additionally, I place strong emphasis on the application and dissemination of student work beyond the classroom, encouraging scholarship that has meaningful impact in broader academic and community contexts.

Professional Experience
I serve as a lecturer with a full-time commitment to teaching. In previous positions, my research focused on intimate partner violence, sexual and gender minority (SGM) intimate partner violence, grief and social media, and adolescent gambling. Currently, I deliver presentations on inclusive teaching practices and the science of teaching and learning. I also mentor student research projects for the AU Honors College and support students in preparing their work for presentation at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research and the AU Undergraduate Research Forum.
