Short Bio

With a background in broadcast journalism and development, Kim Hendrix brings a unique perspective of effective storytelling to the position of Communications and External Relations Director in the College of Human Sciences at Auburn University.

Kim joined the Human Sciences family in November of 2019, after working in television news for 26 years and development/outreach for close to 10 years. In her current role, Kim leads communication and marketing for the many diverse degree offerings within the college, including hospitality management, nutritional sciences, interior design, apparel design and merchandising, human development and family science and global studies along with numerous experiential offerings and initiatives. In this position, Kim also builds relationships with alumni and establishes partnerships with the community and industry leaders in promoting the research findings and opportunities in the College of Human Sciences.

Kim and Scott Skoneki are celebrating 30 years of marriage this year. They enjoy spending time with their daughter Annie and her husband Lance Levine, both recent Auburn University graduates. They also have a new golden doodle named Belle who would be offended if not mentioned.
