Dr. Eunbea (Eun-bi) Kim’s research broadly focuses on changes in cognitive functioning and psychosocial well-being among older adults within family contexts. Dr. Kim's agenda further examines how social environments, including neighborhoods and communities, shape older adults’ multidimensional well-being and contribute to long-term disparities, particularly among underrepresented populations. As an Extension Specialist with expertise in aging and a member of the Family and Child Development team within the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Dr. Kim applies translational science to bridge research and practice, supporting older adults and their families through community-based initiatives. She develops and delivers evidence-based programs and community education initiatives designed to promote healthy aging, strengthen family support systems, and enhance overall well-being across later life.
