Short Bio
Chef Eric Rivera is the Culinary Incubator Manager and an Adjunct Professor in the Culinary Program at the Horst Schulze School of Hospitality Management, where he teaches hands-on laboratory courses, develops curriculum, and mentors aspiring culinary professionals. His work in academia reflects a strong commitment to experiential learning and community engagement through student-driven events. Previously, Chef Rivera served as Executive Chef and Chief Operating Officer at Vintage Hospitality Group, overseeing multiple restaurant concepts. He also directed hydroponic and traditional farming initiatives while developing innovative, market-driven dining concepts and an international culinary exchange program. A dedicated community advocate, Chef Rivera donates his time and talent to nonprofit organizations and serves as a judge for ProStart, a program introducing high school students to careers in hospitality. He was recognized for his commitment to Auburn University’s Eagles Program as the 2025 Outstanding Independent Living Partner. Outside of work, he enjoys home improvement projects, golfing, fishing, hiking and spending time with his three children—Carter, Lorelai, and Emma.
