Short Bio

Emily Cumbie earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in HDFS from Auburn University, and has been a faculty member in the Human Development and Family Science department at Auburn since 2007. She teaches a variety of undergraduate courses in the department, focusing on Early Child Development. In addition to teaching, Emily is also the Student Success Coordinator and Advisor for the HDFS Early Child Development online completer degree program. This program aims to equip the early childhood workforce in Alabama by providing an option for online degree completion to those working in early care and education programs throughout Alabama and beyond. When she's not on campus, she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time outdoors with her family. They especially enjoy attending Auburn sporting events.
