Short Bio

Baker Ayoun holds the June M. Henton Endowed Professorship in the Horst Schulze School of Hospitality Management Program at Auburn University, where he has been since 2007. He also serves as the graduate officer for the Ph.D. and M.S. programs in hospitality management. He completed his Ph.D. in hotel and restaurant administration at Oklahoma State University in 2006. Dr. Ayoun is an honorary professor with the University of Jordan. He is also a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) and is STR-certified in Hotel Industry Analytics and Advanced Hotel and Tourism Analytics. Dr. Ayoun’s research and teaching interests center on hospitality strategies, international hospitality operations, leadership, and organizational behavior. He has published and presented extensively on these topics in a number of academic journals and conferences and received multiple best paper awards by journals and at both hospitality and mainstream management conferences. He is recognized as a graduate of significance from his alma mater, an Outstanding Faculty Member for excellence in teaching, Faculty Excellence in Research Award, as well as an Outstanding Graduate Mentor at Auburn University.
