Health, Human Development, and Family Science in Spain

This short-term study abroad course offers students an immersive opportunity to explore how health and wellness are understood, promoted, and delivered in a global context—specifically within European Countries. Students will engage in site visits, guided discussions, and cultural activities that examine the intersections of public health, family systems, child development, and social policy. Special emphasis will be placed on comparing health outcomes and health systems in the U.S. and European Countries, and understanding how culture influences wellness across the lifespan.
