MEDITERRANEAN DIET

A gratifying food and beverage experience in Italy

The Mediterranean diet incorporates, the basics of healthy eating typifying the traditional cooking style of countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea. Students will explore the unique nutritional aspects of common chronic disease, and engage in a variety of hands-on learning experiences integrating the nutrition science of the Mediterranean eating patterns with a gratifying, international food and beverage experience. Experiences include: wine and cheese tastings, exploration of olive oil production, visit to traditional provincial food markets and shopping, culinary classes, and tours of cheese production facilities, regional farms, and more!

Auburn Study Abroad fee of $638.
$1000 Check (required); applied to the cost of the trip.

PASSPORT/VISA

Application for a United States passport should be made at least 120 days in advance of your departure date. Auburn Abroad recommends that you apply for a passport as soon as you know you are participating in the program. If you already have a passport: Please check the expiration date. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months following your scheduled time abroad.
