The Department of Nutritional Sciences combines three options facilitating integrative studies to develop professional skills for careers in nutrition science, dietetics, and wellness. The field of nutrition is concerned with the intake of food in humans from disciplines including biochemistry, genomics, physiology, social science, and public health, and its relationship to human health, diet, and well-being. Biomedical and applied scientists at Auburn University are working together to conduct nutrition research, education, and Extension programs to advance human health and well-being in the state of Alabama and throughout the world.
