Research Interest
Kelly Martin is an Interior Design Lecturer and doctoral candidate at Auburn University with a variety of professional experience in residential and commercial interior design. She has lived and worked in Auburn, Birmingham, New York, and San Francisco, with experience ranging from work at a Top 20 Interior Design Giant in Healthcare Design to starting her own small business in residential interior design. She has university experience in teaching and advising interior design students, coordinating student services, and recruiting for human sciences majors. Her doctoral research investigates the impact of residential interior design features on maternal mental health in the postpartum time period. She has taken graduate coursework in consumer psychology, research methodology, survey design, data analysis, branding, environmental design theory, and health disparities.
