Summary
Georges Fares is an award-winning scholar and an Assistant Professor of Interior Design in the Department of Consumer and Design Sciences at Auburn University. With a career spanning over nine years designing and implementing private and public design projects in various countries across the Levant, Europe, the Gulf region, and North America along with four years as an instructor at Kansas State University. Throughout his journey, Professor Fares has been driven by a profound purpose: to use design as a means of aiding individuals with physical and mental challenges. Notably, his groundbreaking work in exploring the intersection of architecture and space in treating Autism Spectrum Disorder in children has earned him numerous prestigious recognitions, including the Ones to Watch Award 2019 by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Professor Fares is not only deeply interested in neurodivergent design and autism research but also in exploring the transformative power of cutting-edge technology, particularly in enhancing the lives of minority groups with special needs. His unwavering passion for leveraging technology to positively influence human behavior and daily experiences serves as the driving force behind his ongoing research endeavors.
