This year's IQLA Laureate is Maria, Rodale, CEO and President, Rodale, Inc. Rodale and its subsidiaries, (together "Rodale") comprise the world's leading healthy lifestyle company, publishes some of the best-known health and wellness lifestyle magazines, including Prevention, Men's Health, Women's Health, Runner's World, Bicycling, and Organic Gardening, and is one of the largest independent book publishers in the United States. As head of Rodale, Maria has made promoting the benefits of a healthy lifestyle her own personal mission as well as her business. She is the author of five books including Organic Manifesto: How Organic Farming Can Heal Our Planet, Feed the World, and Keep Us Safe. In addition, she blogs regularly at Maria's Farm Country Kitchen where she shares recipes, organic gardening tips, and recommendations for living a life of health and happiness. In 2013, Maria added to the Rodale portfolio with the launch of Rodale's, an eco-friendly online shopping destination. She currently serves as co-chair of the Rodale Institute Board and is a member of the board of Bette Midler's New York Restoration Project. Maria has received numerous awards, including the National Audubon Society's "Rachel Carson Award" and the United Nations Population Fund's "Award for the Health and Dignity of Women."
