Recognized as a national expert on COVID-19, Dr. David Thrasher has advised city, state and national leaders as to what steps to take throughout the pandemic. Already recognized as a “Front line Hero” by the City of Montgomery for his efforts in treating thousands of people with COVID-19, Dr. Thrasher has stayed engaged through news conferences, social media and web conferences, educating the public about the realities of COVID-19. He also personally raised $20,000 to purchase PPE for health care workers in a Montgomery hospital and led a fundraising drive to purchase gift certificates from local restaurants hurting financially. Those gift cards were then given to medical workers in the COVID units.
