Universities Fighting World Hunger, an initiative of Auburn University’s Hunger Solutions Institute, and The Campus Kitchens Project have created this suite of multimedia hunger-fighting resources and tools. Developed for students by students, with support from The Rockefeller Foundation, this resource includes educational information, step-by-step suggestions for both individual and campus-wide activities and a number of awareness-building social media tools including shareable videos.
Our hope is that the Trash Hunger, Not Food Toolkit can not only better equip you as a food waste champion, but also help you mobilize your school to strive to become a hunger-free campus. Share these tools with others, raise awareness by sharing the videos and suggested tweets and, most importantly, let us know about your successes, lessons learned and experiences in battling food waste. Send pictures with captions, blogs or other information to either 0hunger@auburn.edu or info@campuskitchens.org.
