Fun Facts
Favorite books/movies?
My all-time favorite movies are Coach Carter, The Wood, and Almost Christmas. If I had to throw in a fourth it would be Spirited Away, a great movie with a lot of life messages.

Hobbies/hidden talents?
In my free time I enjoy bowling! I also enjoy writing poetry and journaling.

Any lessons learned?
Don’t let past experiences define who you are or who you will be in the future. Use those experiences as fuel to be resilient and to be great in whatever you want to do.

What advice would you offer to someone thinking about graduate school?
Network with your cohort and department! People you meet in Grad school tend to stick around for a long time, it is where we make our lifelong connections. Get involved as much as possible, and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
