OUR MISSION

Inspiring and equipping the next generation of global leaders
with the knowledge, skills, tools, and experiences they need to thrive in their careers and lives.

OUR VISION

The Office of Global Education will become a place where students are internationally recognized for their work and actively recruited to premier graduate programs and prepared for impactful careers.

Global Studies in Human Sciences

The B.S. in Global Studies in Human Sciences focuses on providing students with skills related to working on modern global problems with diverse individuals in both domestic and international environments. It is a perfect major for students seeking to make the world a better place while also getting hands on experiences through internships, study abroad and practical classroom experiences with real companies, nonprofits, NGOs and governmental entities that are seeking to improve the lives of others.

Master in Development Practice

Our new Master’s program in Development Practice expands the core of Global Studies curriculum to the Masters level. With both domestic and international field experiences our students are trained to use design thinking to solve problems for communities on the local, state, national, and global levels. This is the only program of its kind in the United States as our program uniquely focuses on the broader mission of the College of Human Sciences to improve quality of life for all.

International Minor in Human Sciences

The International minor in Human Sciences is a program that prepares students to be Global Citizens who are aware and can navigate our ever-evolving world. While most students complete the International Minor in Human Sciences as a part of our Joseph S. Bruno Auburn Abroad in Italy program, there is an on/off- campus program for students if they prefer a more short-term study abroad experience. For this option students complete one of the College’s many for-credit study abroad experiences in the Human Sciences and then take several courses on campus as well.
