Outreach

CADS outreach and service build upon the strengths and interests of our faculty, students, and partners reaching out to individuals, organizations, and communities through both formal and informal outreach efforts to share information, provide assistance, and build relationships. This program marries Alabama Cooperative Extension System and outreach programming in concert with the academic and research missions of the department.

Outreach in the department advances creative leadership in: promoting a culture that values outreach, volunteerism and service learning; exemplifying service excellence in all program offerings; creating innovative partnerships to deliver research-based education to individuals, organizations, and businesses; and sharing resources of time, talent and partnerships to enhance the quality of life of individuals and families.

These programs build on Auburn’s land grant strengths of teaching, research and service by delivering relevant information and programs to empower individuals and families to improve their conditions and well-being locally and globally.
