I want to transfer into a major in Human Sciences. What do I need to do?

Students are required to have a certain Auburn University GPA to transfer into Human Sciences.

Institutional GPA requirements:

Pick up your folder from your current college. Bring the folder to 266 Spidle Hall and make an appointment to transfer in.

What do I do if I want to transfer out of Human Sciences?

You will need to contact the college you want to transfer into. Once you have their approval, you will need to pick up your folder from 266 Spidle.

What if I do not know what I want to major in?

You need to visit the Career Development Center. They are located on the 3rd floor of Mary Martin Hall. Their website is www.auburn.edu/career

I want to participate in the Joseph S. Bruno Auburn Abroad in Italy program. What do I need to do?

What do I need to do if I am on academic warning?

An "academic warning" is imposed at the end of any semester for which the student's cumulative Grade Point Average falls below 2.00.

The warning indicates that the student might be suspended from Auburn University if her/his Grade Point Average continues to drop. Students on warning should see their advisor and inquire about resources for academic assistance.

What is the procedure to get a grade forgiven (GAP)?

You must call 844-4790 to schedule a GAP appointment. You have to come to 266 Spidle to GAP a class, this can not be done over phone, fax or email.

How can I take courses at another school while remaining an Auburn student?

To take courses at another school, students need a "transient form" from the Registrar's Office. Students must have this form completed by their Dean's College. This form can be obtained in 266 Spidle. This form requires 24 – 48 hours for approval. Transient forms can not be faxed. Concurrent enrollment (being enrolled in another institution while taking classes at Auburn) is not allowed.

What must be done in order to graduate? What is a Graduation Credit Check?

In order to graduate, students must register for UNIV 4AA0 – HS, perform a credit check and complete a diploma application with a College of Human Sciences advisor. Appointments are made by calling 844-4790.

How do I get on a waiting list for a certain class?

The College of Human Sciences Academic Affairs Office does not keep wait lists for classes. Students should contact the individual departments for wait list information. Wait lists are not kept for all courses.
